Training Hub for Industry Upskilling/Reskilling for Leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Established in 2024, the School of Applied AI Convergence plays a pivotal role in upskilling and reskilling for the 4th Industrial Revolution, aligning with our university’s founding educational philosophy, "修己治人" (Cultivating oneself, governing others) and the motto "仁義禮智" (Benevolence, Righteousness, Propriety, Wisdom).

The School of Applied AI Convergence aims to meet the industry's demand for upskilling by leveraging the infrastructure of Sungkyunkwan University, a Global Leading University, and providing lectures from top-tier faculty. Our goal is to cultivate talents who will lead the future society.

The department consists of two specific majors: Major in Artificial Intelligence for Operation and Major in Industrial Artificial Intelligence. In the era of artificial intelligence, we will provide education to foster critical thinking, comprehensive and creative judgment abilities, and consilient thinking and integrative capabilities. This will equip students with both theoretical and practical knowledge required in the industry.

We have prepared the curriculum that includes courses in relation with fields such as Data Science (DS), Basic AI, Machine Learning, Big Data, and the Metaverse. We aim to educate students to prepare for the future society and pioneer new fields and eras, enabling them to boldly pursue their dreams and visions as Sungkyunkwan students.
